At Sorrell Pressure Wash and Windows, we recently undertook a complete exterior maintenance package for a local Accountants Firm. They needed the property to look sharp, professional, and welcoming for their clients.

The Job: A Professional Finish Required
The driveway wasn't in terrible condition, but "okay" isn't good enough for a professional business. The block paving looked dull, and we wanted to ensure that weeds—the biggest enemy of block paving—wouldn't come back to haunt them a few weeks later.
We also combined this with a full Pure Water Window Clean to get the entire building shining in one visit.
The Process: Turbo Nozzles & Softwashing
To get a true "deep clean" that lasts, we used a specific combination of mechanical power and chemistry:
1. Turbo Nozzle Deep Clean Instead of a standard lance, we utilized a Turbo Nozzle. This spins a powerful jet of water at high speed, cutting through surface grime and removing the stubborn dirt from the pores of the blocks that standard cleaning misses.
2. Hypo Softwash Treatment Pressure alone often leaves invisible algae spores behind. We applied a professional Sodium Hypochlorite (Hypo) Softwash. This gentle but effective chemical treatment kills organic growth at the root and brightens the stone, restoring that "just laid" look without damaging the surface.
3. The Weed Solution: Self-Setting Sand This was the game-changer. Standard sand often washes away or allows weeds to push through. For this commercial job, we used Self-Setting Sand. This creates a semi-rigid seal between the blocks. It locks the paving in place and creates a barrier that weeds struggle to penetrate.
4. The Finishing Touch: Window Cleaning While on-site, we completed a full external window clean, including frames and sills, ensuring the glass was just as spotless as the driveway.
The Results: Zero Weeds (Proven)
The immediate result was a bright, professional entrance that the firm could be proud of.
But the real test is time. I recently returned to the property to check on the work, and I am pleased to report: Zero weeds. The self-setting sand has done its job perfectly, meaning the client saves money on maintenance in the long run.
